I always seem to be drawn to anything and everything metallic, so when choosing a shade to paint my nails of course this Kiko Rose Gold polish caught my eye. It is a gorgeous colour for all year round, but I think it is especially fitting for this festive season!

These photos are with only one coat as I wanted to show how effective only one coat is if you're in a rush, or just impatient like me, and it lasts ages without chipping! I always find myself admiring my nails and I receive lots of compliments with this on my nails!

Some of you may remember that I showed this in my Spain Collective Haul post a while ago, and I have been loving it ever since! If you don't remember it is the Rose Gold Power Pro Nail Laquer- Kiko Cosmetics and I would definitely recommend it both for the stunning colour and incredible formula.

Let me know: what are your favourite nail shades for this festive season?

As December is now flying by, I was desperate to make some festive treats, and when I stumbled upon this Deliciously Ella Mince Pie Recipe I knew I had to make them right away!

One of the most amazing parts of this recipe is that you make the mincemeat from scratch (easier than you may think, I promise!) And whilst the apples and dried fruit were simmering in the gorgeous wintery spices, my entire kitchen was filled with the smell of 'Christmas'.

They are packed full of good ingredients, so you won't feel bad for eating two..or three (like me...oops!). You can find the recipe here on Ella's blog:
or on her app, which has recently become one of my new favourites!

Mum and I tucked in to some of these together, paired with my chai tea (of course, the usual), and Mum's coffee, and they were so delicious!

Let me know if you try out this recipe!

So here it is: Part 2 of my NYC photos! These are really some of my favourite views of the city- I mean how incredible are they?! I really hope you like seeing these little glimpses in to my trip.

We chose one of the best days to walk over Brooklyn Bridge as the weather was so gorgeous which made the view even more beautiful!

And of course how could I go to NYC without going up the Empire State Building?! These photos are taken from the 86th floor viewing platform, an it was honestly such an incredible experience.

where would you like to visit in NYC??

It's fair to say that I am a dedicated ASOS shopper. Anytime I am on the lookout for some new clothes, ASOS will be my first port of call. So, naturally I made a small order recently to get some more basic pieces to wear for Sixth Form (and also casually), to fit with the transitioning seasons of Autumn to Winter. So, here is everything I got (I have popped the links down below too!) :

So...I'm back to blogging! I took a break for a little while to enjoy my time in New York City and also catch up on the huge load of schoolwork that I had been drowning in (A Levels...yikes!). I didn't want to be even more stressed and just putting up posts for the sake of it, but I am back now with this post of a small glimpse in to one part of my trip to NYC (there is more to come!).

Hello lovelies!

I just wanted to make a short post today to update you with my plans for the next couple of weeks. It is almost half term for me (which means I get a week off school-yay!), and my family and I are spending the entire time in New York City!!! So I just wanted to let you know that incase I am a bit MIA for a short while, but don't worry, there will be lots of NYC posts to come to make up for it!

Also, I would LOVE if you could all comment some places I need to visit, cute cafes (preferably plant-based), or touristy things that I need to fit in to my week there.
Thank you so much,

-Monochrome Roses

There is no doubt about it that I am obsessed with mandala patterns. I have so many prints, cushions and even a tapestry with them on- I just think they are so intricate and beautiful.

If you didn't already know,  a couple of months ago I made the jump to buy myself a Macbook Air, and I am in love with it! When I was browsing etsy recently, I spotted this gorgeous sleeve for my laptop I just knew that I had to buy it.

Throughout this past Summer I rediscovered the brand Bershka. I had shopped here many times before because there are a lot of stores in Europeans countries, such as Spain, France and Italy that I have visited on holiday. But, for some reason I never acknowledged that there were stores in London. On one of my trips to London in Summer I took a look in one of the stores and I spotted so many pieces that I loved! And, recently I did a bit of online shopping on their site, because of the amazing prices and quality.

Here is everything I got recently:

Energy balls are something that you will almost always see a box of in my fridge because they are the perfect quick and dense snack for on the go! I love them with a cup of tea as a pick-me-up but I also pop them in my lunch box and take some with me for a snack at school.

This particular I was really excited to try because 1) It is only made from 4 ingredients! and 2) I had tried one of Deliciously Ella's new energy balls that I picked up from Wholefoods recently, and I loved it so much that I just had to recreate it!

As some of you may remember from my previous 'Rediscovering my Mom Jeans' post, I LOVE Mom Jeans. I never used to think this sort of style would suit my body type because I am pretty straight up and down, but there is something about Mom Jeans that I actually really love the look of...and they are fun to style too!

I am now that person who can't stand not wearing nail polish-I just feel so unfinished!
Occasionally I will get gel nails done at a salon, but this can become a very expensive habit. So recently I wanted to pick up a couple more polishes to add to my own collection (not that it isn't already big enough!)

As some of you may know, I am starting my first year of sixth form this year. So, this means that the work will get increasingly harder, there will be more deadlines and in general I will need to stay very organised! My school does provide us with a school planner, but I don't like the layout very much, so I decided to buy myself a new, prettier one instead!

Ever since I was little I have been obsessed with anything to do with 'millionaires shortbread'. Now that I have a plant-based diet, these type of treats are harder to find to buy, so I decided to try and create my own! A local vegan cafe has one similar to this which I have had there many times, so I felt that I knew the taste well enough to try and recreate it! Here is my recipe:

I know that it is now officially Autumn (yay!), and so the usual sunnies-wearing-weather has passed. But, I thought I would share with you my 3 staple sunglasses of Summer 2016, that may just make an appearance if the sun comes out again anytime soon!

I am very clumsy, so I have not invested in any RayBans or high-end sunglasses (yet!). At the moment, I prefer to buy cheaper sunglasses so I don't have to worry too much about breaking, scratching or loosing them!

These stunning round sunglasses (or as my Dad likes to call them: my 'Elton John' sunnies!) are from Vera Moda, and I picked them up more recently in a local boutique. I love the retro effect they bring to the outfit, and I think that they are the perfect sizer my face because so many sunglasses this shape can be tiny!

These next sunglasses I picked up from MANGO in 2015, and have been my trusty sunglasses throughout my travels these past two years. they have a subtle cat-eye effect, which I find to be very flattering! And I love the way the gold rim catches and shimmers in the sunlight too.

Finally, I picked this final pair of sunglasses up from River Island earlier this year! They are my very simple sunglasses, perhaps if my outfit is quite bold so my sunglasses don't need to be the centre of attention. They are a really comfortable fit and a very flattering style for many face shapes.

Which style of sunglasses are your favourite?

I absolutely love buying new pieces for my bedroom, and at the moment I seem to have a monochrome theme mixed with hippie mandala prints and lots of green plants! I have watched a youtuber named 'Annie Tarasova' for a little while now, and her videos involving astrology etc always fascinate me. The sun and moon are symbols that have always meant a lot to me, so when I saw that she was selling a cushion in this print on her etsy store I just had to get myself one!

At this time of year London is very humid. And so, with the many trips to London that I have been taking recently, I have been gravitating towards outfits that are comfy, covered but keep me cool. I thought I would make this little post to show you an outfit that I wore to go shopping on Oxford Street a few days ago.
