Having fair skin can be such a pain when trying to find good face make up products that
1. suits your skin type
2. does the job (covers/conceals)
3. is not too orange!

I have tried and tested so many foundations and concealers in an attempt to find the perfect shade and consistency for me, and I have finally found my power duo of concealers!

Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer- 010 Ivory
This concealer is perfect for undereye circles as it is amazing at really brightening and opening up your eyes, it definitely makes me look more awake AND it isn't too orange or too cakey!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer- 1 Fair
This is the product I use to cover those pesky blemishes! It is quite high coverage and lasts all day AND it is the perfect shade! The only downside is that it is always sold out everywhere so it is almost impossible to get my hands on, I'm not surprised though. Please let me know if you have any good dupes for this concealer for when I run out and can't find one in stock!

Let me know what are your favourite concealers?

So somehow it is nearly the end of June already?! Summer is THE festival season and so many shops have come out with some pieces perfect for the festival vibes. As many of you will know, I love Topshop. So, here are a few pieces I think would be perfect at a festival this summer. Just imagine...a floral crown, checked shirt tied around your waist, sunglasses on your head and just having a good time listening to music with your friends.

Let me know in the comments any good festivals you have been to or are going to as I would love to know!

Life is stressful. It's a fact.

No matter who you are or what you do we all need to relax from time to time. As I am a student, I find that the majority of my time is devoted to school work so recently I have tried to take a little extra time to do a few things that truly make me happy and relaxed.

Here is my list of 10:

1. Have a bath- spend some time just laying back in a nice bubble bath, completely chilling out.
2. Get a cup of tea/coffee- for me, a warm drink is one of the most comforting things.
3. Paint your nails- it's therapeutic I swear.
4. Draw and doodle-just let your mind wander free, doing something you truly enjoy.
5. Sit outside in the sunshine- is it just me or does the sun automatically make me so much more happy and relaxed?!
6. Do some Yoga- there are tonnes of YouTube tutorials etc so give yoga a try, it is so relaxing and life changing I promise.
7. Practice Mindfulness -(I have a mindfulness book and a colouring book too) it's all about appreciating the moment.
8. Light a candle- create a calm atmosphere wherever you are.
9. Read- whatever you enjoy reading, take a few minutes out of your day to have a break and read.
10. Make a playlist- of your favourite songs or even spa music.

The largest picture above is of a book I have recently bought, it is called
Calm: Calm the mind. Change the world by Micheal Acton Smith. I got it from Amazon a week or so ago and it has honestly really helped me with my anxiety etc. It is a book crammed full of activities and prompts to help you focus and relax. It is visually so beautiful and contains so many amazing, eye-opening ideas!
This is some of what it says in the descripition:
Calm is divided into eight sections that everyone should have in their life:
· Nature
· Work
· Creativity
· Children
· Travel
· Relationships
· Food
· Sleep
Each section contains a mixture of fascinating research, creative prompts, activities and instructions, sensory stimuli and inspiration. Pick up Calm whenever you need it, dip in and out, read it and choose which bits work best for you.
I am SO pleased with this book that I just had to rave about it in this post! I completely recommend checking it out.

Breakfast Banana Bowl

Breakfast Banana Bowl

I have recently become much more creative with my breakfasts as it is my favourite meal of the day and there are so many new recipes floating about on blogs and social media recently that look too delicious not to try! I am also the kind of person who loves food to look pretty so I tried to make this recipe look as delicious as it tastes!

You've heard of smoothie bowls right? I have seen many recipes and photos so I wanted to create one of my own...
One of my favourite smoothies that I have regularly consists of simply bananas, dates and soya milk so I wanted to try and use these flavours for the base of my smoothie bowl. This is how it turned out:

Ingredients:

BASE

- 1 large banana
- 4 medjool dates (pitted)
- soya milk (or a milk alternative)

Put all of these ingredients into a blender and blend, adding the amount of milk needed to make a thick, creamy, smoothie texture.

Then go crazy with toppings...

I used:

-dessicated coconut
- coconut chunks
- dates
- banana
-blackberries
- cinnamon

optional other toppings: granola, honey, other berries etc...Be CREATIVE!

I also had it with a delicious chai latte! yumm...

I really hope you like this slightly different post- let me know your thoughts in the comments!

What is your favourite breakfast?
