Just a quick post today to let you know the foundation I recently discovered that I absolutely LOVE.

When it comes to foundations, I really struggle to find the perfect match for my skin tone and that also has a good coverage and finish. I had heard a lot of good things about this foundation from other bloggers, I had even heard it being compared to the Armani Luminous Foundation! So I had to try it out. The main other thing that drew me to this product was the range of shades available, because I have quite a pale complexion which means finding the perfect match for my skin tone is almost impossible! The shade I wear is C1 ROSE IVORY.

I would say it is medium coverage but can be easily built up, so I find it perfect for an everyday foundation. I love the glowing, healthy looking finish it leaves too. I also find it lasts really well as I wear it all day at school, and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. I like to apply it with a real techniques stippling brush because it works really well with the product in my opinion, and I also powder over the top too to give it even more long lasting power!

At only £9.99 it is such a great, affordable foundation for people who want the quality of a high-end product but can't afford the price tag!

Let me know if you have tried this foundation, and what do you think?
OR which foundations do you recommend?

The January Blues

The January Blues

So January is finally coming to an end. January was a very slow month for everyone after all of the busyness and excitement of Christmas, this was the month of getting back into normality. Now as much as I do not appreciate having to wake up again at crazy hours for school when it is sill dark and cold outside *shudder*, I have been trying to be as positive as possible. Because, as cheesy as it may sound, January is a month for new beginnings.

This month I have also been trying LOADS of new products that I got for Christmas, so I thought I'd share with you some of my favourites. It just so happens that 3 of them fit the pun perfectly of 'The January Blues'.

 Perfume: Marc Jacobs-Daisy Dream

This is my all time favourite perfume. It has a light, fresh, fruity and floral scent and it is just so gorgeous. The bottle also is so stunning, it is my perfect perfume bottle because it combines all my favourite colours, I would definitely recommend it to anyone, particularly teenagers and young adults.

Nail Polish: Barry M Gelly-Huckleberry

As I have said in a previous post, I love the Barry M Gelly Nail Polishes. This particular shade is the perfect wintery baby blue, that I feel would suit a lot of different skin tones. The consistency and finish is so lovely too that only one or two coats is needed.

Primer:Benefit-POREfessional

I wear this primer every single day under my makeup because it gives a beautiful finish and long lasting stay. I have really sensitive skin so I have to be careful what I put on my face, but this primer does not irritate it at all! Although it is a bit pricey, a little goes a long way so it is definitely worth the money in my opinion.

What have you been loving this January?

The Naked Palette.

So, I finally got my hands on an Urban Decay Naked Palette!

I have been looking at buying a Naked Palette for ages but I could never justify the price, however now that I own one I would happily pay it for such a lovely product. I got mine for Christmas this year and I have honestly not gone a day without using it in my makeup routine since! I think it is such a perfect basics palette for everyday use but can also be used to create a gorgeous, goldish smoky eye for more formal events.

I am definitely not a makeup artist, but I love experimenting with the different shades to create different looks. My everyday look for school uses Virgin all over the lid and Sin blended in the crease, so I keep it very neutral and simple. However, on weekends I love building up a slightly more dramatic look with colours such as Buck, Smog or Toasted.

The palette itself is in such lovely packaging and comes with an amazing double-ended brush and primer samples,

I love the gorgeous warm tones in this palette because I really think it compliments my blue eyes and pale complexion, that is why I chose the original Naked Palette over the 2 and 3.

Let me know if you have tried any of the Naked Palettes, and what are your favourite shades?

Yesterday I was wandering around town and I saw so many beautiful houses, I couldn't resist taking some arty outfit photos in front of them!

I love weekends, who doesn't? I think having a really busy week at school or work really makes you appreciate the break. Where I live, there are so many gorgeous places close by  to spend just walking around. Yesterday, I did just that. I went out for breakfast and spent the day window shopping in tiny little independent shops and cafes. Also, we saw our first glimpse of snow! But as you can see from the photos, it didn't settle very well. Let me know if you have snow where you live?

This an example of a typical-me outfit. You can guarantee that if you saw me walking around at this time of year, I would be wearing at least one of these clothing items.

Bag- New Look
Scarf- New Look
Coat- Mango
Boots- H&M

What is your most loved clothing item at the moment?

The Sunday Post.

Sundays for me are those days spent in over-sized tees, leggings, cosy socks, hair scraped back, no make up...anyone else relate?

Here are some things that I try to do most Sundays to relax and prepare myself for the week ahead:

1. Go for a Walk

Walking my dog really calms me and clears my head, it also is a really good form of exercise too. I love spending time with my dog, so going for a dog walk is the perfect way to begin my Sunday.

2. Drink Hot Drinks

Especially at this time of year, there is nothing more comforting than a warm cup of tea or hot chocolate. It honestly depends on what drink I am feeling that day but I almost always have a hot drink to warm me up and make me feel really good on the inside.

3. Watch Movies

I don't get much time during the week to watch TV or movies, so I find Sundays are the perfect time to snuggle up with a blanket and go on Netflix. I have particularly been loving Pretty Little Liars recently, whilst I am typing this I am laid on my bed watching it (I think its fair to say I'm a bit obsessed!). Let me know if you have any movie or TV recommendations? as I would love to know!

4. Do some Baking

Baking is one of my absolute favourite things to do! Surprisingly, I find it very relaxing. I got a lot of new recipe books for Christmas so I love just flicking through them and deciding which yummy treat to make! Today, Hazelnut and Chocolate Cupcakes sound good to me!

5. Have a Bath

Finally, I like to end my Sunday with a relaxing bath. I've never really been a bath person but recently I have grown to enjoy baths much more. I think this is down to LUSH's Christmas selection which I have a lot of left over from Christmas- I just love all the scents they brought out! And sitting in a bath surrounded by candles seems like the perfect end to my day.

What sort of things do you like to do on a Sunday?

One of the first things I did when I broke up for the holiday season was paint my nails! So many brands have a variety of gorgeous wintery colours, so I definitely need to get my hands on more.
Here are the colours in my nail polish collection that are essential to me for this time of year!

  • Bourjois 1 seconde nail polish in colour: no. 8
I love the consistency of this nail polish. It has a curved brush which makes it really easy to apply, the colour is so gorgeous too!

  • BarryM Gelly in colours Blood Orange and Blue Grape
The BarryM Gelly's are definitely some of my favourite nail polishes I have ever tried! They are so easy to apply and normally only take one coat to get a really lovely finish, I love the colour range as well.

  • No7 Stay Perfect Nail Colour in Temptress 100
This is such a perfect deep burgundy colour that I wear so much at this time of year, it is definitely one of my go-to colours.

  • Topshop Nails in colour Winter frost
This is one of those nail polishes where you cant stop admiring your nails when wearing it! It is such a beautiful colour and gives an amazing holographic effect, perfect for the party season.

I would love to get some new nail polishes soon so let me know which are your favourites?

Happy New Year!
2014 was an okay year for me but I am determined to make 2015 even better. I don't like to set myself official New Years Resolutions because I always end up breaking them, instead I prefer to constantly set myself goals that are more realistic. The current goals I have set from 2014 are to:

> take as many photos as I can
> choose healthier options
> say 'yes' to more
and to...
> worry and stress less

I am going to continue with these goals because this year I want to be generally happier and healthier (cheesy...I know) ,I also want to document this year in the form of a scrapbook because I think it will be such a special memory when it is finished and it will encourage me to take more photos etc. I got inspired for this idea from Lily Pebbles. I love Lily's blog and youtube channel and she recently posted a video about her 2014 scrapbook and it has really inspired me!

Finally I also really hope that in 2015 my blog will really grow and improve, because I only recently started blogging and I love it so much already!

If you have any, what are your goals for this year?
